Keeping Your Children Safe Online

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Kevin Thereon

You hear many horror stories about children using the internet, and a quick look in the news will immediately warn you that this is a breeding ground for extreme views, for pedophiles and for ‘cyber bullying’. Of course that’s not quite the reality of the internet, in fact the internet is a fantastic tool for democracy, for freedom of speech and for creativity. The problem is though, that not everyone uses it that way and few mentally ill individuals ruin it for everyone. So the question is, how do you go about protecting your children from all this and what do you go about blocking them from? How do you protect them without controlling them or without mollycoddling them? Read More→

Networking Tips – Manipulation Of Contacts

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Rick Frishman

Manipulation

Although networkers understand that everyone wants something, they resent being manipulated, used or conned. If, in the list of offenses, forgetting or being too busy to reciprocate is shoplifting, then out-and-out manipulation is murder one and often carries a life-time sentence.

When network members feel used, if they believe that you’re only out for yourself, they won’t take your calls and they certainly won’t help you. Worse yet, they’ll tell others about your deceit and once the word gets out, you’ll find yourself alone with nowhere to turn. Read More→

The Proven Formula for Posting Effectively on Social Media

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Nika Stewart

When I first work with clients to grow their businesses on the Social Networks, I often hear:

“I don’t get how this works. Why would people care about what I ate for lunch?”

Well, if what you eat is the subject of all of your posts, you’re right. No one will want to follow you or engage with you. You will not attract a community of your target audience, and the people you do attract will not feel loyal to you or want to invest in your services.

You are using social media to attract ideal clients, build a targeted community, and increase your expert status. So you want to post accordingly. However – that does not mean you post on one business subject all day every day.

So what types of subjects or topics should you be posting? Read More→

The New Facebook Timeline – An Online Scrapbook

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Terri Brooks

As I sat in my office watching the Live Feed from Facebook’s F8 Conference last week, I quickly saw the new Timeline being much like an online scrapbook. I love to scrapbook and have gotten together with friends to share stamps, templates and other embellishments for by books. But the one thing I don’t do with my scrap-booking is to…Keep It Up To Date! I’m terrible about this. I have really good intentions, but I put it off and put it off until my children are grown and all the wonderful events of their life are outdated, so why put that book together now? Read More→

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Tom Bukacek

What has always been the most effective way to generate new business? Referrals from existing customers to their friends and families.

Creating raving fans who sing your praises to others is both the least expensive and most productive form of advertising. Most people tune out traditional means of advertising. The Dinner Table

By Daniel · Comments (0)

By Dan Jourdan

Did you ever have a teacher in grade school tell you that if you copied from your neighbor during a test and were cheating, you really were only cheating yourself? My daughter’s third grade teacher said that in class the other day and it sparked a conversation around the dinner table.

After we all agreed that the teacher was right to give tests in order to keep the students accountable so that they were certain the kids were learning the subjects that they would need in life. She asked, “why don’t grown-ups take tests?” This was a real question, not just a… this is not fair, get out of my face type of question, and one I was not prepared for.

You, as a salesperson, are in school now too. You are learning everyday about new technology and about old human relations.

How are you being kept accountable? Read More→
